There has been a lot of talk about PX3 juggling clubs lately. So what’s all they hype about? I’ll explain all that to you right here.

First of all, the construction of the PX3 juggling clubs is unique in that they are manufactured with a PVC pipe in the middle rather than a dowel of wood. This promises more uniformity and durability. It is true. I have cracked a juggling club in half that had a wooden dowel in the center.

Check out this illustration below to see the unique construction.

There are several different types of PX3 juggling clubs that range from the moderately priced to the more expensive. The lower priced clubs are less decorative and more likely to be used for practice than performance.

Let’s start by taking a look at the PX3 Sirius Club. It’s 225 gram club with a wrapped handle that is slim and soft. Play Juggling says it is their most popular club. This club is also know as the PX3 Pirouette.

Next let’s take a look at the PX3 Sirius Training club. This 230 gram club making it heavier than the previous club and it has a slightly slower spin due to the weight. It does not have a wrapped handle, but rather a one-piece handle called a “flex grip”. This is a great practice club.

The last club I wanted to look at is the PX3 Vegas. This is their most expensive and decorative club. This is a 225 gram club and it has a vacuum metal spraying decoration. This means the club is lighter and the decoration is more durable than a traditional sticker.

I’m always on the lookout for new juggling shops either online or offline. Today I found a new one, but not because I found it through searching. I found it because the owner contacted me.

The site is called JuggleGear.com.

It is a Canadian based juggling shop. I checked them out and as far as juggling equipment goes, they stock some of their own JG brand equipment and a bunch of Play Juggling products. Below is a picture of their 6 Slice UV ball. Set of three for $20 CAD, roughly equivalent to $20 USD. Not a bad price at all. These are unique too. I haven’t seen beanbags quite like them before.

While you visit their site you’ll also want to check out their JG Flight Club. It’s a composite club with a wrapped handle for only $20 CAD. That’s a great price. Check them out below.

As I said they also have a bunch of Play Juggling products as well. They also stock some non-juggling equipment such as unicycles and aerial equipment.

Have you ever wanted to use your juggling skills to make a quick buck. Well it’s pretty easy to do. I should know. Me and my friends raised enough money to buy 10 plane tickets to Europe using this technique. This technique has become way more popular lately, but you have an edge.

The place I am talking about is at a traffic light. Now you know what I’m talking about when I say this has become more popular lately right? It’s rare to see a busy traffic light without someone standing there asking for money. It’s become so popular because it works. But like I said you have an edge. You have a skill and you’ll be doing something to earn your money. Imagine if people can get money standing there with a cardboard sign, can’t you earn a little money with your awesome skill of juggling?

You bet you can. Like I said I’ve done it before and it works. I think people will actually find it quite refreshing to see someone earning their keep for a little entertainment at the boring red light.

When I did this with my friends we would just wait for a red light and then go quickly do a few tricks while the other one when around asking for money to fund our European trip. This worked well so maybe you want to come up with a good cause to get people to release their ashtray change. “Can you spare a dollar to fund our European juggling trip.” was our line.

If you want to try this, obviously be careful! Don’t get hit by a car or throw a ball and make it land on someones car. I see kids doing this in South America every time I go there. I’ve never seen any jugglers at traffic lights here in the US, but we sure could use some. I’m tired of seeing the person with the cardboard sign doing nothing to earn their money.

One of the questions that many new jugglers have is: what are the best juggling balls for beginners? This is a great question because all juggling balls are not equal, and not all juggling balls are good for beginners.

When you are new to juggling, I recommend starting with a beanbag. There are a wide array of different kinds of juggling balls, but a beanbag is a great place to start. Once you learn how to juggle you can build your collection of juggling balls like I did. Trust me, there will be plenty of time for that. No matter how many juggling balls you have, you’ll want another set.

Here are a few good starters:

This basic set from Dube (pictured above) is a great place to start. The 3 ball set comes with instructions. They are soft, shiny, and very durable. They have a nice weight and are easy to catch and throw.

Another nice beginner beanbag are these Fushion beanbags (pictured above) available at Amazon.com. I like them because they are very soft. They are very easy to catch with even the tip of your fingers which really comes in handy when you first start juggling. They are not shiny like the Dube beanbags and they have a more soft fabric feel.

The beanbags pictured above are the Higgins Brothers kit. They come with an instructional DVD. They are similar to the Dube beanbags in color, shape, weight, and shine. They have nice durability and are a good choice for a beginner.

I gave you three recommendations for the best juggling balls for beginners. All of my recommendations are beanbags because I think that stage balls and hybrid type balls should be reserved for the more experienced juggler. It’s just easier to learn with beanbags in my experience.

Even if you don’t want to purchase one of these beanbags here are a few guidelines for a good juggling ball for beginners:

soft

2.5″

120-130 grams

Those are the 3 characteristics that I think make a good beginner juggling balls. For children, 2″ may be appropriate, but not for adults. When a ball is less than 2.5″ it tends to bounce off your hands and makes it much harder to catch.

Where can you get cheap juggling equipment at a great price? Most of the time this is not possible unless you are a retailer and you are buying wholesale. Most wholesalers will only sell to serious retailers and require a minimum order.

Lucky for you, I found a place that you might not know about where you can get cheap juggling equipment in bulk. You can get juggling equipment at wholesale prices or less.

Just go to the Higgins Brothers website and check out their sale items page. Now this sales page is updated occasionally with new items. Sometimes they sell bulk 2nd’s and sometimes they have reverse auction. The 2nd’s are pieces of equipment that have a slight imperfection. The reverse auction is when they post items and lower the price everyday until someone buys it.

I’ve seen all kinds of juggling equipment offered here from PX3 clubs and MMX balls sold through reverse auction, to bulk clubs and beanbags sold at wholesale prices or below. If you are just one juggler, the reverse auctions might be better for you, but if you are club that is looking for equipment for your members, the sales are great option.

So just check back frequently to see what’s been updated. Remember to read the descriptions though. I’m pretty sure all sales are final!

Have you seen the new Dube Deluxe Beanbags? They are a 12-panel beanbag. Well if you haven’t juggled a 12-beanbag, you’re in for a treat.

I personally prefer the feeling of a 12-panel beanbag because of the uniformity. It feels more circular to me than a 4 or even 8-panel beanbag. Since there are more panels, the stitch lines are shorter which I think equates to more durability. Nothing is worse than when a beanbag starts splitting. I think that you’ll have to put these through a lot of abuse before that ever happens.

If you haven’t already, go over to Dube.com and check them out!

Cheap juggling clubs are easy to find. Look at this set of cheap juggling clubs below.

You can’t get much cheaper than that. But you have to ask yourself, do you really want to juggle the cheapest (a.k.a. worst) clubs out there. If you are half serious about juggling, I wouldn’t recommend it.

There are other clubs that you can get that are not quite as cheap as the ones above but are a decent set of clubs to start with. Look at these below…

These clubs are by Higgins Brothers and I know they are extremely durable. They’ll last you forever although they won’t feel as nice as some of the better clubs. This is because they are molded in once piece with plastic. This makes them a little harder on the hands.

If you are looking for cheap juggling clubs and you don’t want to go with the worst clubs out there, then I recommend these. They are still relatively cheap compared to the best juggling clubs but they are composite, not plastic mold. This makes them a little softer on the hands and more visually appealing.

I hope that helped you on your quest for cheap juggling clubs! Let me know what you chose and how you liked them.

A common problem for many jugglers is that there is no juggling shop in their town. The reason for this is simple – there is not enough demand to support a store that relies on walk in sales alone. Think about it… how many jugglers do you run into in a normal day? Usually none.

Although juggling has increased in popularity, juggling shops are just not that common. In the US, I can only think of two that I have actually walked into and tried their juggling equipment. One was Dube juggling, and the other was called Air Traffic. Dube is in NYC so their is enough demand to support walk in sales, but they also have a huge online presence. Air Traffic is in Mall of America, a huge mall in Minnesota. They also sell a lot of other toys and games aside from juggling equipment.

So the problem remains that you can’t really try juggling equipment before you buy it if you don’t have a juggling shop in your town. So in order to help jugglers make better choices when they choose their juggling equipment, I created another site. It is called Juggling Reviews. This new site that I created is a collection of all the juggling equipment on the market today. There is a page for each type of juggling equipment and you can browse by type of equipment or by manufacturer. On each page is a ratings box that you can use.

You can rate each type of juggling equipment on a scale of 1-5 stars and add comments. The purpose of this site is to help jugglers get comments and ratings from jugglers who already own the equipment. The success of the site depends on whether or not people actually contribute. So I would encourage you to go there and rate all the different juggling equipment you have.

The site once again is, JugglingReviews.com.
